The 9Muses according to Greek Mythology were the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne which means mentality and memory. The number 9 was considered to be the “perfect” number as well as the number of beauty, analogy and union.
According to the Greek Myths God Zeus bewildered a young woman (Mnemosyne) and slept with her for nine consecutive nights. The result of their encounter was the 9Muses. Mnemosyne gave her babies to Nymphaea to raise them and to god Apollo to educate them. The Muses were the protectors of sciences and arts that cultivate and stimulate the soul opening up the mind to celestial orbs.
Analytically each Muse was the protector of the following.
